Services for the Elderly
We offer help for elderly residents in need of assistance with the completion of forms, translation, and transportation to appointments or shopping. We provide a friendly smile during scheduled home visits, and referrals to outside agencies for those needing additional care. Special events for the elderly include a Thanksgiving Dinner served at the Northeast Ministry.

Food Bank
This program provides residents a place where they may receive emergency assistance with food.
Community Collaborations
The Northeast Ministry works with various organizations to improve the lives of the people that we serve. An excellent example would be our partnership with St. Luke’s Dental Van. The van comes to the building and sees children free of charge. We refer residents to county and local social service agencies when needed for drug counseling, etc.

Special Events
During the course of the year, we hold various activities for the community such as: community clean ups, Christmas parties, Easter parties, family cookouts, and informative seminars for the community.

Health Fairs
Periodically, the Northeast Ministry sponsors a community health fair for area residents. Health related agencies, such as St. Luke’s Hospital and the Bethlehem Health Bureau, are invited to provide services and counseling on: drug abuse, HIV, blood pressure, diet, teen pregnancy, and health related matters.

Transportation
Staff is available to provide residents with transportation to their appointments when necessary.
